Setting short-term goals: Be SMART

SMART Goals - an easy setup/system to learn how to set goals

  1. Specific: is your goal specific enough

  2. Measurable: is your goal measurable? Is there clear criteria?

  3. Achievable: is your goal achievable? If not, how can you adjust your goal and timeframe expectations to make it achievable?

  4. Realistic: is your goal realistic? Are you physically and mentally capable? prepared? able to commit to it? If not, is there another goal, a similar goal or something else you can do to put this one within reach?

  5. Time Framed: does your goal have a time frame? Is there a sense of urgency? If not, what else do you need to do to put your goal on a timeline?
